Artist's Description
This painting was inspired by a drawing I did back in the summer of '98, after my first trip to NYC, The Molting I wanted to show how at that time I couldn't "fly" on the wings of my dreams, but this was only temporary, as with birds that molt, losing their feathers temporarily. Here, I have expanded on that idea, and show "fate" blowing the feathers, old dreams, out to make room for new dreams.

ORIGINALS AVAILABLE THE BEGINNING I am a self taught artist who began Musickscapes "the landscapes of my mind" in 1993 as a way to deal with issues involving medical negligence and chronic pain. Picking up a pen, I ignored all that I had been taught about creating art and began to draw my barest emotions. Using shapes combined with colors to describe the turmoil I could find no words for, I created intense and emotionally charged works.
